A structured, buyer-centered methodology for making the right franchise decision. Four stages. Built around you — not around brands.
The typical franchise search begins with browsing — looking at brands, categories, investment levels. The result is a preference-matching exercise that rarely surfaces whether the franchise system actually fits the way the buyer works, thinks, and operates.
The AFC MatchIQ Process takes a different approach. We evaluate both the prospective owner and the franchise system — building a structured ownership profile, then assessing compatibility, alignment, and fit before any specific brand enters the conversation.
5–10 minutes · Produces a Preliminary Fit Score
The Quick Fit Assessment is the entry point to the MatchIQ process. It covers the foundational dimensions of ownership compatibility: investment range, capital availability, operating preferences, geographic flexibility, time commitment, personality orientation, and ownership motivation.
At the end of the Quick Fit, you receive a Preliminary Fit Score — an initial read on your alignment with franchise ownership generally, and a basis for the deeper Ownership Profile conversation.

The Ownership Profile goes deeper. It examines risk orientation, management style, personality fit, industry interests, exit horizon, and long-term objectives. It also explores prior business experience, relevant skills, and the operating environment that will define what success looks and feels like in practice.
This instrument forms the basis for the MatchIQ Analysis — it is the profile against which franchise opportunities are systematically evaluated.

The MatchIQ Analysis is AFC's proprietary comparative evaluation. Using your Ownership Profile as the benchmark, AFC evaluates franchise systems across the FranServe network against your ownership characteristics — assessing compatibility across operational, financial, personality, and strategic dimensions.
This is not a browsing exercise. It is a structured, criteria-driven process designed to surface genuine matches and eliminate poor fits before you invest time in discovery conversations.
Curated shortlist · FDD guidance · Ongoing support
The Recommendation Package delivers a curated shortlist of aligned franchise opportunities with AFC's analysis of why each fits your profile. It includes guidance on the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) review process, key questions to ask franchisors, and support through your discovery conversations and ultimate decision.
AFC remains available throughout the evaluation and selection process — not just to the point of making a recommendation.
